Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer (DEO) Dr. K.V. Rajendra has appealed all to cooperate in checking election related irregularities.

Rajendra addressed the meeting of booth level awareness committee organised at Ambedkar Bhavan, H.D. Kote taluk yesterday and said that “Steps should be taken for moral voting and increase the percentage of polling in those areas which have witnessed low turnout in the past. Awareness on voting should be created among voters and information on the serial number and name of the voters in the voter list should be provided, besides making drinking water, shade and other facilities for the voters.”

If any incidents of luring voters with money, liquor and other freebies are found, the information should be passed on to Flying Surveillance Team (FST), said DC Rajendra. Returning Officer of H.D. Kote Kumuda Sharath was also present at the meeting.
