Rains expected for four days:  Yellow alert in Mysuru

Light and normal rains are expected for four days from today in northern hinterland and coastal places of the State and widespread rains are expected in southern hinterland, according to the forecast by the Meteorological Department. Meanwhile, yellow alert has been announced in Bengaluru city and rural, Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kolar,  Mandya, Kodagu and Mysuru districts.

Yellow alert indicates that authorities should be aware. In such a situation, one can expect severely bad weather. It also suggests that the weather could change for the worse, disrupting day-to-day activities.
