The use of white halogen LED lights in two-wheelers and four-wheelers are becoming popular nowadays due to their bright and intense light.

However, even though the intensity of these lights is below the regulations imposed by Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMRV) in India, many people are affected by the glare when vehicles with LED headlight pass by in the opposite direction at night. The light will lead to temporary blindness while traveling and can in turn lead to serious road safety issues, especially at night or in low visibility conditions.

To address this issue, vehicle owners need to ensure that their headlights are correctly aimed and adjusted. In addition, it is recommended that they avoid using high beams, which can increase the intensity of the light and cause more glare for other road users, but the riders don’t follow either of these rules.

Hence, I request the traffic authorities to strictly enforce the regulations regarding headlight intensity and ensure that all vehicles comply with the standards.

This can help in reducing the number of accidents caused by glare and improve road safety for everyone.
