Mysore/Mysuru: Stating that it is a matter of pride that 32 Government Schools in the district recorded cent percent result in SSLC this year (2022-23), Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. K.V. Rajendra has called upon teachers and education officials to ensure that the district comes in the first five rankings in the State.
He was speaking at the programme organised by the DC’s office and the Department of Public Instruction for felicitation of Head Masters of 32 Government Schools in Mysuru district which recorded 100 percent results and 10 top SSLC scorers, at the DC’s office here yesterday.
Asserting that the efforts put in by the school teachers had resulted in achieving this feat, Dr. Rajendra said, this should continue with more zeal in the future. Pointing out that the parents expect a lot from the teachers for achieving good results, he said that the teachers and staff should work towards meeting the aspirations of parents. He called upon the teachers to put in their best efforts to ensure that the district finds a place in the first five ranks next year.
Asking the students not to have any inferiority complex regarding English language, the DC said that a dedicated and determined study play a vital role in scoring high marks. He also called upon the students to engage themselves in cultural activities and sports, apart from academics, as this would keep their mind and body healthy.
Ten students from Government High Schools of the district who scored high marks — S. Ajay (621/625 marks) of Yaraganahalli Government School in Mysuru taluk, Achyut Maurya (616) of Adarsha Vidyalaya in Nanjangud taluk, Moksha H. Patil (615), V. Lisha (612) and K.M. Smitha (608) of Adarsha Vidyalaya, K.R. Nagar, D. Monisha (614), G. Keerthan Kumar (613) and B.R. Prajwal Gowda (611) of Adarsha Vidyalaya, T. Narasipur, G. Keerthana (610) of Belavadi Government School, Mysuru and R. Punya (609) of Mysuru South Zone Adarsha Vidyalaya and Head Masters/ Head Mistress of 32 achiever Government Schools were felicitated on the occasion.
