Free Career Counselling and Guidance Programme for students on June 11

Mysore/Mysuru: THE HINDU – Education Plus is organising a free Career Counselling and Guidance Programme on Sunday (June 11) at Sahukar Chennaiah Auditorium, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering, Gokulam 3rd Stage, Mysuru.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra will be the chief guest.

Registration will start from 9 am and programme begins at 10 am. It will feature officials from the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) who will make a presentation on the CET counselling and admission procedure for the benefit of students and parents.

There will also be a presentation on alternative career choices by personnel from CIGMA Bengaluru who are a professional group specialised in career guidance and counselling.

Eminent speakers include Dr. S.N. Manjunatha, Associate Professor, MMC&RI; Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE;  Ameen E. Mudassar, Founder & CEO, CIGMA;  N. Udayashankara, Nodal Officer, KEA Helpline and Vinay Kumar, Founder – Director of InsightsIAS.

The two sessions will be followed by a question and answer session in which resource persons and experts from Engineering and Medical streams will join the officials from the Karnataka Examination Authority to take questions from students and clarify their doubts on admission to various professional courses.

Besides, they will throw light on other career options, prospects, scope, eligibility requirements etc., and provide a helping hand to the student community who are on the threshold of embarking on higher studies to pursue a career.

All the participants will get a free copy of a career handbook published by The Hindu – Education Plus which has well-researched articles to help students plan their next step.
