June 12, 2023

Mustafa Murtuza Raja emerged Doubles Champion and Singles Runner-up in the U-16 Tennis BC Nationals Selection Series held at Hollyburn Country Club in West Vancouver recently.

Mustafa defeated top seeded Owen in the Singles semi-finals but fell short in a closely contested 3 set finals with the second seeded player Gary. In the Doubles finals, Mustafa and Eric overcame the top-seeded pair of Gary and Scotty in straight sets.

This performance will help Mustafa qualify for the Outdoor Nationals later this year. Mustafa trains at the Tennis Centre in Vancouver. Mustafa, son of Murtuza Raja and Farida Raja, earlier trained at the Nagaraj Tennis Centre in Mysuru and attended Excel Public School in Mysuru.
