Mysore/Mysuru: A couple was killed after their motorbike was hit by a jeep on Bettadapura-K.R. Nagar main road yesterday morning.

Manjunath (47) and his wife Suneetha (40) of Thorenur village, Kushalnagar in Kodagu district, is the deceased couple.

The couple, who had come to attend a function at Kottuvalli near Bettadapura, was returning home on their two-wheeler in the morning, when a poultry laden jeep hit their motorbike.

Manjunath was killed on the spot while Suneetha died on her way to a hospital. The couple is survived by a son and daughter.

Bettadapura Police, who visited the spot, have registered a case.
