Employee cheats company of Rs. 45 lakh by issuing fake receipts to customers

Mysore/Mysuru: An employee of a private firm has allegedly cheated the company to the tune of Rs. 45 lakh by collecting money from customers and issuing them fake receipts.

The accused has been identified as 35-year-old M.H. Raghu, Marketing Representative of Terracon Projects-Land Developers and Builders in city.

The company has undertaken a project –Terracon Residency- at Belavadi and Raghu, stating that sites were on sale, reportedly collected about Rs. 45 lakh from customers and issued fake receipts to them, thus not only cheating customers but also the company he was working for.

Raghu had also created fake letter heads of the company, forged the signatures of company’s partner Sanjay Babu and Mysuru In-charge Shashank and had issued letters mentioning the site numbers to customers, according to the complaint from Sanjay Babu. Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case,  are investigating.
