Mandya: A 22-year-old youth was allegedly murdered with lethal weapons on the 4th Cross of Gandhinagar in Mandya.

The deceased has been identified as Akshay alias Gatlu and old enmity is suspected behind the murder. Akshay was sipping tea at a tea shop in Gandhinagar when a gang of five miscreants attacked him, chased him and finally hacked him to death.

Mandya West Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the body to MIMS Hospital for post-mortem besides launching a hunt to nab the killers.
