The selection of wrestlers for the Dasara Games CM (Chief Minister) Cup and Mysuru Championship wrestling tournament, organised under the joint aegis of Karnataka Wrestling Association, Karnataka Olympic Association and Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, will take place at Chamundi Vihar Indoor Stadium in Nazarbad tomorrow (Sept.20).

Announcing this at a press meet here on Sunday, Tournament Director K. Vinod Kumar said that the selection trials will take place for Karnataka Senior Men’s, Women’s Free Style, Greco-Roman and Women’s categories. The selection will be done under the supervision of Karnataka Wrestling Association President B. Gunaranjan Shetty.

Pointing out that only wrestlers from Karnataka are permitted to take part, Vinod Kumar said wrestlers from all Government Departments, Army, Railways and Police Department can participate.

The weight checking of participants will take place from 8 am to 9 am, he said adding that the selection process will take place from 10 am. Only those who are selected in this selection trials will become eligible to take part in Dasara wrestling tournament, he  said.

All the selected wrestlers will be provided sporting wears. He further  said that the participants will have to bring their Bank account details, Aadhaar card  and a recent passport size photograph. For details, call Mob: 98457-27392.

Wrestling  Association office-bearers Chandrashekar, Chhota Rafiq, Rajesh, Ganganna, Girish and Junior Mahadevanna Kyatamaranahalli were present at the press meet.
