Manjunath has been awarded Ph.D in Genetics by the University of Mysore (UoM) for his thesis ‘Effect of Alloxan-Induced Oxidative  Stress on Glucose Metabolism, Cuticular Hydrocarbon Profile and gut Microbial Diversity in Drosophila Melanogaster’ submitted under the guidance of       Dr. M.S. Krishna.
