Vidu. Aishwarya Vidhya Raghunath will be presenting a music concert at Sri Srinivasa Temple in Ramakrishnanagar I-Block on Feb. 25 at 5.30 pm.
She will be accompanied by Vidu. Aditi Krishnaprakash on violin, Tumkur Ravishankar on mridanga and Kaushik on ghata.
Profile: Born into a family of connoisseurs of classical music, Vidu. Aishwarya Vidhya Raghunath was initiated into the world of music at the age of three.
An ‘A’ graded artiste of the All India Radio and Doordarshan, Aishwarya has the honour of being the disciple of musical stalwarts — Sangita Kalaacharya (late) Seethalakshmi Venkatesan, Padma Bhushan P.S. Narayanaswamy and Sangeetha Kala Sagaram Vegavahini Vijayaraghavan, thus being moulded into the Semmangudi bhani and the Veena Dhanammal bhani. Aishwarya was awarded the Government of India scholarship (Ministry of Culture) between the years 2008-2010. Her first performance was at the age of 13 and there was no looking back.
Maha Shivaratri tomorrow: Sri Srinivasa Temple will be celebrating Maha Shivaratri tomorrow and the programme is as follows:
7am to 9 am: Abhisheka, Alankara and Puja of Sri Srinivasa as Shiva; 9 am to 11 am: Maha Mrutyunjaya Homa.
