I have written several letters in this column seeking to install  traffic lights signal at the junction of Hotel Red Lotus Suites located on Akka Mahadevi Road, JP Nagar. But no action has been taken till date. All my appeals have fallen on blind eyes and deaf ears. The authorities concerned are not bothered to address this problem.

It has been noticed with concern that there is a lot of uncontrolled vehicular movement at this junction. Also it is very difficult for pedestrians, senior citizens, ladies and children to cross the road at this junction.

Vehicles whiz past in all four directions, without a thought being shown by some rash drivers towards the lives and safety of pedestrians.

Quite a few accidents have taken place at this spot, resulting in injuries to pedestrians and damage to vehicles.

I appeal the traffic authorities to kindly take necessary steps to install a traffic lights signal, along with those for pedestrian crossings too, at the earliest.
