Manoranjan, Sagar Sharma try to speak inside Court but interrupted by Judge 

New Delhi: A Delhi Court yesterday remanded the four accused to further 15 days of Police custody in a Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) case registered against them by the Delhi Police over the recent security breach in the Parliament.

Additional Sessions Judge Hardeep Kaur of Patiala House Courts passed the order after the accused were produced in Court after expiry of their seven days of Police custody.

The Delhi Police sought 15 days custody remand for the accused Sagar Sharma, D. Manoranjan, Neelam Verma and Amol Shinde.

Other co accused Lalit Jha and Mahesh Kumawat have also been remanded to seven days Police custody which is expiring this week. Reports said that Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan had intentions of making a statement when brought before the Court.

During the Court proceedings, Manoranjan attempted to speak on two occasions but was interrupted by the Judge Hardeep Kaur who asked him not to speak. 

Deceptive in responses

According to a psychoanalyst who has profiled all six accused, their ideological inclinations were influenced by social media. They shared a common ideology, described as a “Mission to change the country.”

 Manoranjan appeared notably uneasy discussing his financial status and family matters, revealing a strained relationship with his family for almost a year. Additionally, all six accused have been found to be deceptive in their responses.

The Special Cell confronted all six accused with each other to corroborate the sequence of events in the security breach case. They are currently held in five different units of the Delhi Police Special Cell, undergoing multiple rounds of interrogation by security agencies.
