Amarashilpi Jakanachari Memorial Day on Jan. 1

Mysore/Mysuru:  Kannada and Culture Department, District Administration and Vishwakarma Amarashilpi Jakanachari Jayanthyotsava Samiti have jointly organised Vishwakarma Amarashilpi Jakanachari Memorial Day celebrations on Jan. 1 at 10.30 am at Kalamandira in city.

Mysuru District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the programme, in the presence of Minister for Animal Husbandry K. Venkatesh. Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda will preside.

Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simmha, Chamarajanagar MP V. Sreenivasa Prasad and Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambarish will be the chief guests.

MLAs Tanveer Sait, Anil Chikkamadu, G.T. Devegowda, D.Ravishankar, T.R. Srivatsa, Darshan Dhruvanarayan and G.D. Harish Gowda, MLCs Marithibbe Gowda, A.H. Vishwanath, Dr. D. Thimmaiah, Madhu G. Madegowda and C.N. Manjegowda are among the guests.

Prof. K. Kempegowda will be the main speaker of the event, according to Assistant Director of Kannada and Culture Department Dr. M.D. Sudarshan.
