Chikkathayamma (86), wife of late Lingaiah and a resident of Anandanagar in city, passed away yesterday night in city.

She leaves behind children Somaiah Maleyuru (Editor of Bhuvana Sangathi), Prabhuswamy (President of Maliyuru Gram Panchayat), Mahadevaswamy, Suresh, Srinivas, Rathnamma and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Maleyuru village in Chamarajanagar taluk today.
