January 9, 2024

Nanjangud: Following the death of Hullahalli Nadakacheri Computer Operator Paramesh, who committed suicide by consuming poison at the office on Sunday afternoon and leaving behind a death note holding Deputy Tahsildar N.P. Shivakumar responsible for his death, Regional Commissioner Dr. G.C. Prakash has issued an order suspending the Hullahalli Deputy Tahsildar.

Deceased Paramesh, who was working as an outsourced Computer Operator at Hullahalli Nadakacheri since several years, went to the Office at about 2 pm on Sunday, where he allegedly consumed poison in an attempt to end his life.

Though he was admitted to K.R. Hospital in Mysuru, Paramesh breathed his last.

Meanwhile, Paramesh’s family members and Harathale villagers staged a protest demanding action against the Deputy Tahsildar besides threatening not to take the body of Paramesh till the Deputy Tahsildar was suspended.

The protesters also demanded compensation be paid to the family members of the deceased and also a job be provided to one of Paramesh’s family members.

As Paramesh had written a death note alleging harassment from Deputy Tahsildar Shivakumar for his (Paramesh) extreme step, Regional Commissioner Dr. G.C. Prakash, has ordered suspension of the Deputy Tahsildar pending enquiry.

Chamarajanagar MLA Darshan Dhruvanarayan, who visited MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru, consoled the family members of Paramesh besides assuring justice to them.
