Mysore/Mysuru: Bhoomigiri Narayanappa Award was conferred on three achievers from different fields — Senior Journalist Amshi Prasannakumar, Tandavapura MIT Engineering College Principal Dr. Y.T. Krishnegowda and writer B.K. Meenakshi — at a programme organised under the joint aegis of District Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Bhoomigiri Narayanappa Pratishtana at Kannada Sahitya Bhavan in Vijayanagar First Stage here recently.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, MLA K. Harishgowda said that a Kannada Sahitya Sammelana would be organised in Chamaraja Constituency in the coming days.

Stating that Literary Meets used to be held frequently in the past, he stressed on the need for Kannada Literature to get back its past glory.
