‘Jyothi Belaguthide – A Musical feature based on Vachanas of Sharanas’ is ‘Simple, clear, devotional and wisdom filled luminous light is spreading all over’ was the phrase sung by Sharana Nijaguna Shivayogi in 15th Century. Yes right from 12th Century kindness, philanthropy, righteousness and devotion are the virtues of mankind that has lit the lamp of light which continues to spread the light of these virtues unabated till date.

It is the undiminished devotion with a wick of  spiritual knowledge with oil of surrender, lighting the lamp, spreading the aura. Vachanas are a type of expression in Kannada Literature from 10th Century which reached its pinnacle in the 12th Century. Innumerable Sharanas have composed many meaningful yet simple language with a mix of prosaic and poetic style with very few words enabling easy understanding.

Team Surabhi Gana Kala Mandira have selected these Vachanas to make it a garland of musical features to enthral the audience.
