Havildar N.R. Garudachar (85), a resident of Chamarajapuram in the city, passed away here on Mar. 3. He had served in Madras Regiment and fought two wars. He leaves behind his wife Kanthamani, daughters Padmasini and Vandana and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at Jayanagar electric crematorium on Mar. 4.
