MUV rams into electric pole near Maharani’s College

Mysore/Mysuru: An electric pole was damaged after a Toyota Innova Multi Utility Vehicle (MUV) rammed into it near Maharani’s College in city this morning.

One Samarth, who was driving the vehicle, crossed JLB Road from D. Devaraj Urs Road and was proceeding towards the old DC Office, lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the electric pole.

K.R. Traffic Police who rushed to the spot, enquired Samarth, who told them that his eyes  went black, resulting in him ramming the vehicle into the electric pole.

The Police provided him water and took him to a hospital where he was provided treatment. CESC officials and staff also visited the spot and inspected the damaged pole. Samarth is said to have told the CESC officials that he would bear the cost to replace the electric pole.
