Playback singer Mangli’s car meets with minor accident

Hyderabad: Noted playback singer Satyavathi Rathod, popularly known as Mangli, sustained injuries in a road accident at Telangana’s Thondapally on Mar. 17 night. The singer was returning to the city from Shamshabad along with her two acquaintances.

The accident happened when the car was caught in a rear-end collision at Thondapally Road. As per the Police, a heavy vehicle crashed into their vehicle from the rear. The victim was rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad and will be reportedly discharged from the hospital soon post recoveries.

The Police have registered a case under IPC Section 279 against the heavy vehicle driver and investigation is going on.

‘Don’t believe rumours’

Mangli took to Instagram on Monday to clarify what happened. She wrote, “Dear all, I am safe and sound. It was an unforeseen minor accident that took place a couple of days ago. Kindly don’t go by the rumours being spread. Thanks to your love and concern! Mangli.”
