Mysore/Mysuru: To enhance the Start-Up ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in city, the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has sanctioned a grant of Rs. 3.75 crore to GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru, under National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing the Innovation (NIDHI) inclusive TBI (iTBI) scheme to establish incubation centre in the area of Food Processing, Agro Processing and Health Care. GSSS Management has contributed Rs. 75 lakh for setting up this Centre.
DST-iTBI GSSSTBIF invites proposals from Innovators and Start-Ups for providing ignition grants up to Rs. 10 lakh for those ideas that can be converted into a prototype/products and later for commercialisation. Innovators who avail the ignition grants shall be part of the Incubation Centre.
Dr. S. Padmashree, Professor, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW, is the Principal Investigator while Dr. S.J. Sushma and Dr. P. Raviraj are Co-Principal Investigators for this project.
