Mysuru: The Women and Child Welfare Department has invited applications from eligible women for selecting them as beneficiaries of various schemes launched by the Department.
Micro-loan scheme: Under this scheme, Sthree Shakti groups which are existent for over three years and have not availed any loan from Banks can get a maximum of Rs. 2 lakh loan (interest-free) for setting up a group unit.
Chetana Yojana and Sexual Minorities Rehabilitation Scheme: Under this scheme, women aged over 19 years and sex workers registered with Ashodaya Samiti and Ashodaya Academy are eligible to get Rs. 25,000 for getting self-employed.
Udyogini Scheme: In this scheme, women will get financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh from Banks for setting up business or to take up self-employment. Women aged between 18 and 45 years are eligible to apply.
Samruddhi Yojana: In this scheme, street-vendor women will get financial assistance of Rs. 10,000. Women aged between 18 and 60 years are eligible to apply.
Candidates applying under Chetana and Sexual Minorities Rehabilitation Scheme are required to contact Ashodaya Samiti, near Ballal Circle, Krishnamurthypuram, while those women applying under other schemes have to collect the prescribed forms before Aug.14 at the office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO).
