Bengaluru: A BJP worker riding a two-wheeler was fatally run over by a private bus after he crashed into the open door of a car belonging to Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shobha Karandlaje and fell down on the road in KR Puram here on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Prakash (60), a resident of TC Palya. He died on the spot after being run over by the bus.

Karandlaje is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Bangalore North Constituency and Prakash was following her convoy during her election campaign.

As soon as the door of her car was opened, Prakash crashed into it and fell on the road before he was run over by the bus.

 The Minister said he was run over by a bus coming from behind, killing him instantaneously.
