Journalist Ramesh Uthappa’s four books to be released on May 9

Mysore/Mysuru: Four books written by journalist Ithichanda Ramesh Uthappa on wildlife are scheduled for release on May 9, under the auspices of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Mysore. 

The event, in collaboration with the Mysuru Cultural Association and Akshara Mantapa Publication of Bengaluru, will be held at Vijnana Bhavana in Manasagangothri, at 10.30 am.

On the occasion, Uthappa’s works ‘Kaadu Helida Kathe,’ ‘Haavu, Nambike Haagu Manovaignanika Vishleshane,’ ‘Aane, Badalaada Varthane,’ and ‘Arjuna, Ninna Mareyalenthu Naa’ will be launched.

Prof. N.K. Lokanath, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, will inaugurate the programme.

The books will be released by Vishweshwar Bhat, Chief Editor of ‘Vishwavani’, Ravindra Bhat, Managing Editor of ‘Prajavani’, Sudarshan Channangihalli, Editor of ‘Vijaya Karnataka’, K.N. Channegowda, Editor of ‘Vijayavani’ and Ravi Hegde, Chief Editor of ‘Kannada Prabha’.

Prof. M.S. Sapna, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Mysore, will preside.

Manasa, Chairman of Kannada Book Authority, will grace the occasion as a special guest. 

A.P. Nagesh of Mysuru Cultural Association and Publisher Chetan Kanabur will also be present at the event. The programme includes felicitation of a distinguished wildlife photographer from Mysuru.
