Defunct signal lights at Kumbarakoppal Gate

Sir,

Signal lights were installed at Kumbarakoppal Gate, KRS Road, Mysuru, two years ago. But nowadays suddenly they are defunct for reasons known to the authorities concerned only.

This Gate is a very busy junction, particularly during peak hours. Is it not the duty of the authorities concerned to maintain  functioning of the traffic signals and allow the public to have a sigh of relief while crossing the roads and drive safely?
