Mysore/Mysuru: A pillion rider was killed on the spot in a head-on collision between an auto and a bike on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Yaraganahalli here yesterday night.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammed Irfan (19), a resident of Shanthinagar in city.

Irfan was riding pillion with his friend Sahil riding a KTM bike (KA-19-Q-4468) from KEB Junction towards Triveni Circle when the bike collided head-on with an auto (KA-09-AB-0306), resulting in Irfan sustaining serious head injuries and breathing his last due to severe bleeding.

His friend Sahil and auto driver Siddappaji, who were also injured, have been admitted to a private hospital in city, said Siddarthanagar Traffic Police, who have registered a case.
