Lucky escape for passengers as car hits road divider

July 9, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Three persons had a miraculous escape when the car they were travelling crashed into a road divider yesterday night.

The incident took place on Bogadi-Gaddige Main Road (near Harsha Bar) in Bogadi 2nd Stage at about 10 pm last night.  As  a result of the impact, the front portion of the Hyundai car (KA-01-MB-1284) has been completely damaged.

Meanwhile, local residents told Star of Mysore that the road divider has been constructed in an unscientific manner that too close to the curve on the road making it difficult for motorists especially car and other heavy motor vehicles drivers to take a turn resulting in at least one accident in a week.

The residents further alleged that Traffic Police come whenever an accident takes place, conduct spot mahazar and go away but have not taken any steps to get the road divider removed or set it right.
