Chamarajanagar: Sri Shivakumara Swamiji, Seer of Sri Pattada Mutt at Alahalli in Kollegal taluk of the district, passed away in the early hours of yesterday. He was 78.

The Swamiji, who had taken ill a few months back, had availed treatment and had recovered completely. Though he had involved in various activities of the Mutt, he breathed his last yesterday early morning.

Sri Siddalinga Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt and others paid tributes to the departed Seer.

Last rites, led by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, were held today.
