Bengaluru: With the Election Commission likely to announce the schedule for local body polls    (City Municipal Councils, Town Municipal Councils and Town Panchayats) shortly, the BJP has appointed top party leaders as In-charge for its organisational districts in the State.

Accordingly, BJP spokesperson Ashwathnarayan has been appointed as in-charge for Mysuru, Chamarajanagar and Hassan districts, while former MLA P. Rajiv as in-charge of Haveri, Hubballi-Dharwad, Dharwad Rural, Gadag, Ramanagar, Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapur and Kolar, MLA Dr. Shailendra Beldale as in-charge of Bidar, Kalaburagi City and Rural and Yadgir, former MLC Ganesh Karnik as in-charge of Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, MLC N. Ravikumar as in-charge for Raichur, Koppal, Ballari, Vijayanagar, Davangere, Chitradurga, Tumkur and Madhugiri MLA Mahesh Tenginakai as in-charge of Belagavi, Chikkodi, Bagalkot and Vijayapura and MLA S.N.Channabasappa as in-charge of Chikkamagalur, Shivamogga and Uttara Kannada districts.
