Mavinahalli Siddegowda’s charges far from truth: MUDA Chairman Marigowda

August 25, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman K. Marigowda has denied the charges levelled by former President of Mysuru Milk Union Limited (MyMUL) Mavinahalli Siddegowda, as far from truth.

In a press release, Marigowda has referred to the contents of media conference, published in media, where Siddegowda has blamed him (Marigowda) for the recent messy affairs of MUDA.

“I took charge as MUDA Chairman on Mar. 3, 2024 and the sites have been allocated under 50:50 ratio and alternative scheme as per the decision of MUDA meeting held on Nov. 20, 2020. However, I myself had issued a notice to MUDA Commissioner to henceforth not to allot the sites without the prior approval of MUDA Board and the Government,” said Marigowda.

The said decisions were taken during the tenure of BJP Government and even the sites were allotted to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife when BJP was in power, on Dec. 30, 2021. The public can notice the conspiracy hatched by the BJP Government to malign the image of Siddaramaiah in politics. In the present situation, both BJP and JD(S) have been raking up the issue politically only to defame Siddaramaiah.

Siddegowda, the MyMUL former President, had been issued Congress party ticket to contest the previous Assembly elections from Chamundeshwari Constituency at the insistence of Siddaramaiah. However, it is no more a secret, he had a tacit understanding in the elections and went incommunicado and lost the elections. Siddegowda, who went underground since then, called a press conference on Aug. 20 and the way in which he has levelled the allegations against me, it triggers suspicion.

Siddegowda should be cautious before making allegations against me, warned Marigowda.
