The Mysore Derby 2024 on Oct. 27

Mysuru: The Mysore Race Club (MRC) Limited is scheduled to start the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2024 from tomorrow (Sept. 5). The 16-day racing will conclude on Oct. 27.

Stakemoney: The advertised stakemoney shall be to the tune of Rs. 6,85,50,000 including cups/ trophies for the Season.

Sweepstake/ Classic Races:  The following are the important Classic/Sweepstakes Races:

For 3 year old Indian horses — The Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar Memorial Million 2024 – Sept. 5; The F.K. Irani Memorial Million 2024 – Sept. 13; The Mysore 1000 Guineas 2024 (Grade III) – Sept. 20; The Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Golf Club Mysore 2000 Guineas 2024 (Grade III) – Oct. 4; The Mysore Derby 2024 (Grade I) – Oct. 27; For Indian horses 3 years old and above — The Mysore Dasara Sprint Championship 2024 (Grade II) – Oct. 10; The Mysore Race Club Anniversary Cup 2024 – Oct. 26; For 4 years old Indian horses — The HH Sri Krishnaraja Wadiyar Memorial Trophy 2024 (Grade III) – Sept. 6; The Maharaja’s Cup 2024 (Grade II) – Sept. 27; The Governor’s Cup 2024 – Oct. 18.

Horses: Currently about 425 horses are stabled at MRC and about 400 outstation horses are expected to participate in races.

Totalisators: Adequate number of Betting Terminals will be in operation with upgraded software; Rate of Admission: The entrance charges for the public to witness the Mysore (Monsoon) Races 2024 is fixed at Rs. 200 whereas for the off-course race days the entrance charges will be Rs. 100.
