As part of Children’s Day, the Women and Child Development Department has invited applications from children aged between 6 and 18 years for conferment of Bravery Awards — ‘Hoysala’ (for boys) and ‘Keladi Chennamma’  (for girls). The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each. The exemplary bravery act  by the applicant should have taken place between Aug. 1, 2023 and July 31, 2024. Children born on or after Aug. 1, 2006 are eligible to apply.

Also, applications are invited from individuals and organisations who/which have worked actively in the field of Child Welfare for at least 5 years, for cash prize. The selected individuals will be given a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and the organisations will get a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh each.
