Mysuru: Motherhood Hospital, Mysuru, has been awarded the prestigious NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) accreditation, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare.
The accreditation is a testament to the hospital’s adherence to rigorous standards of patient safety, care and excellence across all its services.
NABH accreditation, known for its rigorous assessment process, involves implementing Standard Operating Procedures across 10 chapters, covering 71 standards and 408 objective elements, all focused on delivering the highest standards of care.
Achieving NABH accreditation required months of dedicated preparation, including extensive staff training programmes. Over 50-plus hours of training per individual staff member were conducted to ensure that doctors, nurses and technical teams were proficient in new processes, system implementations and documentation improvements. This included intensive mock drills, audits and cross-unit evaluations led by quality champions within the hospital.
Commenting on this achievement, Vijayarathna Venkatraman, CEO of Motherhood Hospitals, said, “We are immensely proud of receiving NABH accreditation for our Mysuru Unit. This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to deliver top-notch healthcare services to mothers and children in the region.
