Bengaluru: Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar has directed the Police and other departments’ officers, probing into the scams that had occurred during BJP Government in the State to complete the investigation and file charge sheet within four weeks.
Dr. Parameshwar, who is also the Chairman of Cabinet Committee formed to review the progress of investigations related to scams during BJP rule, issued directions during a meeting held at Vidhana Soudha on Friday.
Recently, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah along with the members of the Cabinet Committee, had collected details regarding the scams from Heads of investigation agencies and Officers. The reasons behind withholding action after completing the probe into some of the cases were also sought during the meeting.
Dr. Parameshwar reportedly pulled up the officials about the delay in initiating action, even after collecting evidences related to 21 corruption cases, as listed by the CM. If the investigation is completed, file an FIR and take further action. If the permission of the Government is required, keep the matter before the Cabinet, without further delay. Be it any influential person, bring them to book, instructed Dr. Parameshwar to the officials.
