Retired Maharani’s College Principal passes away

Mysuru: Prof. Vijayaveera Simha (82), retired Principal and a resident of Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar, passed away following brief illness at a private hospital in city this morning.

Prof. Simha had served as the Principal and Professor at Maharani’s Arts College for Women for 18 years and had also served in Hassan district.

He is survived by one daughter, one son, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

His wife M.R. Leela had predeceased him 20 years ago.

Last rites were performed at K.G. Koppal Burial Grounds this afternoon, according to family sources.
