Cancellation of sites to begin now: MUDA Commissioner

October 1, 2024

Mysuru: Hours after B.M. Parvathi (wife of CM Siddaramaiah) wrote to the MUDA Commissioner relinquishing the 14 sites she received as compensation for her 3.16-acre land, her son Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah, an MLC, visited the MUDA office this morning to personally deliver the letter to MUDA Commissioner A.N. Raghunandan.

He urged the Commissioner to expedite the relinquishment process and reclaim the land that has caused significant political turmoil in Karnataka.

Speaking to Star of Mysore today, Raghunandan confirmed that he received the letter from the CM’s wife and stated that the process of reclaiming the lands will commence. “The process will begin now. I will write to the Sub-Registrar to initiate cancellation process and discuss next steps. Once the title deeds in Parvathi’s name are cancelled, all 14 sites of various dimensions in Vijayanagar Third and Fourth Stages will revert to MUDA ownership,” he added.
