Ponnampet (Kodagu): As part of Save Kodagu and Save Cauvery Campaign, a protest rally will be staged at Kutta on Aug. 26.

The rally against the proposed  Railway and Highway projects, is coordinated by United Kodava Organisation, Coorg Wildlife Society, Kodagu Growers Federation and Save Kodagu Forum and supported by over 30 organisations across Kodagu.

All participants are requested to arrive in their vehicles at Ponnampet bus stand by 9 am on Saturday. From there the vehicle convoy will move to Hudikeri, T. Shettigeri, Srimangala and Kutta. From Kutta Post Office, the procession will pass through the Town to the Kutta Forest Check Post where there will be a brief assembly.
