Two-day CPI(M) meet in city from Oct. 26

The two-day 24th District Convention of  CPI (M) will be held at Pandit Narayanacharya Kalyana Mantapa in Subbarayanakere grounds in city on Oct. 26 and 27. Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday, party leader L. Jagannath said, ahead of the convention, a marathon procession of workers will be taken out from Gun House Circle in the heart of the city to Freedom Fighters Park in Subbarayanakere at 10.30 am on Oct. 26.

Subsequently, a public meeting will be held at 11.30 am, which shall be addressed by the party MP from Kerala Shivadasan. District Secretary Jagadish Surya will preside, while other office-bearers U. Basavaraj and H.S. Sunanda will be the chief guests, Jagannath said adding that more than 200 delegates are expected to take part.

 The two-day Convention will discuss Government policies, Labour policies, Farm policies and general issues.  Party leaders G. Jayaram, Mehboob, Subramanya and K. Basavaraju were present at the press meet.
