Allow vehicles on Nandi Road atop Chamundi Hill

October 31, 2024

Sir,

Traffic was blocked for vehicles heading towards the Nandi Statue atop Chamundi Hill during Dasara. This decision disrupted the flow of both uphill and downhill traffic. While the multi-storeyed parking facility on Chamundi Hill offers ample parking space, the bottleneck at the entry and exit points remains chaotic. Authorities are urged to address this issue promptly.

Additionally, similar to the arrangements on Ashada Fridays, measures should be implemented during Dasara, with limited private cars allowed to the hilltop and an increased number of buses operating from the foothill to the summit.
