Kannada Rajyotsava Music Programme on Nov. 27

Karnataka Sugama Sangeetha Parishat, Mysuru, to confer Rajyotsava Awards

Mysuru: As part of Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, the District Unit of Sugama Sangeetha Parishat has organised a music programme titled ‘Kannadave Satya’ at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in city on Nov. 27 at 4 pm.

The programme will feature live music with famous lyrics sung by thespian Dr. Rajkumar. MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah will inaugurate the event. Sugama Sangeetha Parishat Mysuru District President Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy will preside. Literary figure Na. Damodar Shetty will deliver the keynote address. Music University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote will present the award to achievers.

The singers will be felicitated by renowned light music singer Nagara Srinivasa Udupa. Department of Kannada and Culture Assistant Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan will hoist the Kannada flag. Sugama Sangeetha Parishat Mysuru District Vice-President Gangadharappa, Secretary Siribalu and Media Advisor N. Bette Gowda will be present.

On the same occasion, Parishat will confer 2024 Kannada Rajyotsava Awards on Kannada Sahitya Parishat Mysuru District President Maddikere Gopal, Senior Journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar, Senior Sugama Sangeetha singer Prof. S. Mallanna, poet Jayappa Honnali, keyboardist Ganesh Bhatt and singer Jayaram Raju.

Mysore Jayaram, Prof. A.D. Srinivas, N. Bette Gowda, Rajesh Padiyar, David, Indrani Anantharamu, Rashmi Chikkamagalur, Dr. Y.D. Rajanna, Sinchana, Sridhar, Jai Raj and Raviraj will present the musical programme. They will be accompanied by Deepak, Indusekhar, Pradeep Kiggle, Roshan Surya and Vincent in live music.
