MLC vows to raise teachers’ issue in next Council Session

Mysuru: MLC K. Vivekananda chaired a meeting to discuss the grievances related to  Government and aided PU College Lecturers, Physical Education teachers and non-teaching staff, at the Government Guest House in the district recently.

The teachers urged the MLC to apprise the Government about the issues and find solutions for them, along with those related to PU Colleges especially after their merger with the Department of School Education and Literacy.

In his address, Vivekananda assured to bring it to the notice of the Government, the issues related to deputation of PU College lecturers, pension, time-bound salary hike of lecturers appointed on promotion from high schools to PU Colleges, during the next Session of the Council.

On the occasion, Vivekananda felicitated Murali, Poornima, Nandish Kumar, Dr. T.K. Ravi, Mahesh and Ramakrishne Gowda, who have been elected as the representatives of lecturers from various taluks, to the State Government Employees Association.

President of Mysuru District Lecturers Association M.M. Mahadev, Treasurer G.B. Mahesh, President of Aided PU College Lecturers Association Mahadeva Swamy, M.C. Girish, M. Mahesh, P.L. Shivakumar, Vinesh, Prasanna, Alur Basavaraju, Hemachandra, Ashwini, Hemavathy, Sumangala Akki, Dakshina Murthy and others were present.
