Bodybuilding, best physique contest

State-level Chamaraja Wadiyar Cup Bodybuilding and Best Physique Competition has been organised on Nov. 30 at 6 pm at Dasara Exhibition Grounds.

Mysuru District Gym and Fitness Centres Association President Harsha told about the competition to media persons here on Wednesday. Harsha said, “in the recent days, the awareness about physical health among people is dwindling. Similarly, there is a less awareness about body building. To create awareness about the physique, the competition has been organised. Despite the activities like marathon, cyclothon and walkathon, the level of awareness about body building and fitness is alarmingly low.”Total prize money is Rs. 3.45 lakh and the winners will be given prizes in various categories. First prize winner will carry home Rs. 50,000, 2nd prize – Rs. 25,000 and 3rd prize – Rs. 15,000.GSS Foundation’s D. Srihari, Sandesh, Basavaraju and Suman were present.
