Chunchanakatte Jalapathotsava on Nov. 30, Dec. 1

The two-day Chunchanakatte Jalapathotsava is scheduled to be held on Nov. 30 and Dec.1 at Chunchanakatte in Saligrama taluk in the district, said K.R. Nagar MLA D. Ravishankar.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the Jalapathotsava on Nov. 30 at 6.30 pm. Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, Ministers Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, K. Venkatesh and Shivaraj S. Tangadagi, MPs Yaduveer Wadiyar and Sunil Bose and others will be present.

During the previous years, owing to Covid-19 pandemic, the Jalapathotsava had been stopped. However, due to improvement in situation with Cauvery river flowing to its brim, the Jalapathotsava has been organised this year.

About 20,000 people are expected for the two-day event.
