Saraswathipuram Swimming Pool poorly maintained

December 6, 2024

Sir,

The Saraswathipuram Swimming Pool has recently earned the unfortunate distinction of being the most poorly maintained facility in our community, compounded by the unprofessional behaviour of its lifeguards.

Firstly, the pool is not cleaned regularly, resulting in murky water and an unhygienic environment that poses serious health risks to swimmers. This neglect significantly diminishes experience of using the facility. Despite repeated complaints, the management has failed to implement any noticeable improvements.

Secondly, the lifeguards, who are responsible for ensuring safety and maintaining order, have exhibited discourteous and unprofessional behaviour. Instances of raised voices and disrespectful responses to genuine concerns have been reported by several pool users, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere for families and individuals.

We strongly urge the authorities to take immediate action to address these issues. Regular and thorough cleaning schedules must be implemented without fail, and staff, especially lifeguards, should undergo rigorous training to improve their professional conduct and communication skills.

Our community deserves a swimming pool that is clean, safe, and welcoming. We hope this complaint serves as a call to action for prompt and effective corrective measures.
