Mysuru: R. Yashodha, a social worker and  an entrepreneur of the city, has bagged the prestigious Dr. Ambedkar Excellency Service National Award-2024, given by Delhi-based Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi.

Yashodha, a resident of 18th Main, B-Block, Vijayanagar Third Stage, was selected for the award in recognition of her social services and other literary activities related to the upliftment of the downtrodden and backward sections of the society in India and abroad. She was presented the award at  the 40th National Conference of the Akademi held on Dec.8 at Panchsheel Ashram, Jharoda, Delhi.
