Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) Police have arrested a man on charges of committing burglaries and have recovered 217 grams gold ornaments, 1.560 kg silver and one two-wheeler worth Rs. 18 lakh from him.
CCB Police, who took custody of the accused on Dec. 4, interrogated him during which the accused is said to have confessed of committing 7 burglaries and lifting one two-wheeler at various places in the district including Mysuru city along his accomplice.
Based on the information provided by the accused, the CCB Police have recovered the stolen gold, silver and the two-wheeler from him. Following his arrest, the Police have solved one case each in Nazarbad and Narasimharaja (NR) Police Station in city, four cases in Hunsur Town Police Station and two cases in K.R. Nagar Police Station.
The accused, who was absconding was wanted in four burglary cases and the Police have launched a hunt to nab his accomplice.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and CCB ACP S.N. Sandesh Kumar guided Inspector M. Mohan Kumar, Sub-Inspector Maruthi Antaragatti, ASIs Asgar Khan, M.R. Ganesh and Ramegowda and staff Ramaswamy, Prakash, Jayaram, Suresh, Mahesh, Umamahesh, Narasimharaju, Mahesha, Shivanna and Ravi Govinda in the nabbing and recovery operation.
