Gold chain snatched on Golf Club Road

Mysuru: Miscreants have snatched a part of two gold chains from a woman, who was travelling along with her daughter on a two-wheeler on Golf Club Road coming under Nazarbad Police limits on Saturday night.

The woman, who lost her gold chains, is 58-year-old Rajeshwari, a resident of Vidyashankar Layout in city and the stolen gold chains are valued at Rs. 3 lakh.

On Saturday night, Rajeshwari and her daughter Dr. Pooja were on their way to attend a wedding reception at Vidyaranyapuram.

While they were proceeding on the Golf Club Road behind Mall of Mysore, two miscreants, who came on a bike from behind, tried to snatch the two gold chains from Rajeshwari.

Shocked Rajeshwari held on to the two chains resulting in the gold chains getting cut and the miscreants managed to speed away with 60 grams gold chain while about 40 grams gold chains remained with Rajeshwari.

Based on the complaint from Rajeshwari, Nazarbad Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
