Astronomy lecture at Myra

Indian Heritage Cities Network Foundation (IHCNF) is hosting an astronomy lecture and documentary screening on Saturday (Dec.21) at the MYRA School of Business in Yelwal, Mysuru. A lecture-demonstration titled “Chaandra Maana: The Astronomy of the Ancient Bharatiya Calendar” will be given by Kishore Kumar at 3 pm in the Maya Floating Classroom of MYRA.

The documentary film screening of “The Word and the Teacher: The Extraordinary Life of Ferdinand Kittel,” directed by Prashanth Pandit, will take place at Athena Auditorium at 5 pm. The event aims to bring together enthusiasts of heritage, astronomy, linguistics and education. The entry is free but prior registration is must.
